Incenidary Arrow could be changed alittile?
I could say many things about Incenidary arrow but the two main key points I would like to have changed is:
-too short
-recharge time too long
I feel these problems should be addressed with so it can be comparable with other useful ranger elites, BHA, Burning arrow, etc..,
- maybe make energy cost from 5 to 10, but recharge time is shorter (15sec) and it stays with ranger alittile longer
-everything same except, could make the recharge time to like 15seconds
-everything same except, could make Incenidary Arrow stay with ranger allitile longer
so what do you think? you could see what other people have to say about it at "http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10197067"
feel free for any suggestions?
thanks!
p.s. it should also be better since the boss you have to cap it from is hard to get too and even sometimes he dosen't spawn!!!

Incendiary arrows suck.
You won't see it play in any decent PvP.
A boost to the recharge would be nice.

You guys clearly don't remember when incenideary arrows had an even shorter duration. Its actually been buffed a lot. Its quite good as it is really. Its not in the PvP meta, but that doesn't mean its bad.
And no amount of buffing will make it the new Barrage for PvE.
Just because something is unpopular, doesn't mean it isn't useable or good (though that might sometimes be the case).

I actually use this quite frequently when running certain interruption builds and it works quite nicely, any buff would probably make it too strong and become the new FotM - I don't know about you but I don't particularly want to see Burning Arrow Rangers all turn into Incendiary Arrow Rangers

No I don't remember. It's not (and never was) in the PvP meta for reasons.
Actually it's that bad.
It interrupts, yes but dazing is better, as dazing will lower the cast time of your target increasing the interrupt potential.
It burns, but the burning is pitiful compared to burning arrows.
You need another skill to be able to keep it up, wasting 2 skill slots for such a prep is waste of time.
You need to invest lot of points in Survival (12 is the best breakpoint) to make it viable, whereas BHA or BA doesn't.
As a prep it cannot be stacked, whereas BHA can be stacked with apply poison (resulting in nice degen in top of interrupting/dazing coverage), and BA deals more damage/degen whatever prep you use with it.
Incendiary arrow just suck. There is so much more other powerful options right there, many of them with no or little investment in Survival.
Even Choking Gas+Practiced stances is better due to the AoE interrupt.

Yes, dazing is better. If that's what you're after, get broad arrow.
However, if you want to interrupt AND put them on fire (not too shabby), just deal with it. I hardly see Greater Conflagration used, but nobody complains about how it should be buffed up beyond belief.
Besides, with a preparation that causes burning AND interrupt, no doubt Anet has been very careful about the duration. If it lasted long, you'd no doubt see every ranger in pvp with it.

[wiki]Greater Conflagration[/wiki]+ [wiki]Mark of Rodgort[/wiki]. All Physical (melee/arrow/spear) attacks cause Burning?
Woo! Much fun in GvG, [wiki]Searing Flames[/wiki] Heaven.
Anyway!
I'm not sure if Incenidary arrow needs improving or not, fair enough on it's own.. It seem's alittle poor, due to the long cooldown, however when used with other skills;
(e.g. [wiki]Serpent's Quickness[/wiki], [wiki]Lightning Reflexes[/wiki], [wiki]Determined Shot[/wiki])
It becomes alot more powerful, I'd love to see it used more
*hits self for saying that, being a Monk that hate's Interrupt*
but i don't really see how it could be improved without upsettings the GW ballance.

Should be on the PvE skills thread. You go there and you will see how much raw suckage rangers think this has.
I'd rather carry BHA with Kindle or Apply Poison than IA. Hell, BA is better than this skill. What makes it crap? It's in Wilderness Survival. I can Kindle Arrow and get more shots out of it with less investment in WS than having to put more into it to make IA useful. BA is in Marksmanship, a skill all rangers will invest heavy in, anyway, unless you are a Bunny Thumper or a B/P.
The only buff I think would help would be to put it in Marksmanship. Rather use poison for degen, or daze with BHA, anyway. They last much longer.

So... you are complaining because power creep made it obsolete? Look, it still isn't "bad." There are plenty of skills that will NEVER see the light of day in PvP because there are better options (mind blast, solider's strike, etc).
Still, doesn't mean that they can't be used. And ummm.. saying dazed is better doesn't mean much since in a GvG it will be on your target for what... 1.5s before being removed?
